The first ever left-handed Profencer Junior
is making a ‘huge impact’ on the workload
of Gary Atkinson & Sons Fencing Services
based at Market Weighton in East Yorkshire.

Gary, who specialises in agricultural fencing, poultry, rabbit and stock netting as well as post and rail, started his business in 2003 with his two sons, Ben and Anthony.

Gary commented: “We met Allan at the Driffield Show and discussed our need for a left-handed machine which was capable of carrying two 500m rolls of stock net with remote control capabilities.

“It wasn’t long before Allan and his team had pen to paper and had the machine drawn up and priced. We gave Allan the thumbs up to manufacture the machine despite Ben being a bit sceptical about the idea at first.

“We opted for remote controls because Ben is usually rolling and tensioning the wire on his own so the remote controls allow him to pick up the rolls of wire from the tractor cab. He can also angle the clamp bar whilst on the move to suit the terrain as well as being able to pump the side shift in and out when in tight places.

“Now after using the machine for almost a year Ben really likes it because of its simple and easy to use operations.

“We have always liked the idea of having a Profencer because of its strong build and its capability of being able to tension wire up to 2m high simply by changing from the standard 1.2m clamp bar to a 2.1m clamp bar, as well as being able to tilt the spindles over to pick rolls off the floor, so there’s no more manual lifting which is great.

“All in all, it’s a very good machine. A big thank you to Allan and his team for their fast and effective service. It’s well worth every penny!” concluded Gary.
