PRE-SEALED, PRE-PAINTED AND MAINTENANCE FREE – PREMIER PROSITE IS HOARDING WITH A DIFFERENCE

The Newport Centre, a former leisure and event space, was a fixture in the city centre since it was built in 1985. However, in recent years it has become very run down, with the council feeling it had no choice but to demolish the existing building and replace it with something new.

A major project is now underway in the centre of Newport, South Wales, to rebuild Newport Centre. In such a visible location, subcontractors Walters Environmental knew they needed a durable hoarding product that would last the duration of the project and look good in the process.

The site is very central, with access from all directions, so Walters wanted a hoarding supplier that would be able to offer a high level of security. It also needed to be long-lasting, with the project lasting for several years.

With its Head Office based nearby in Newport, Premier Forest Products was perfectly placed to supply the project with 300 Premier ProSite hoarding boards, as well as posts, rails, and ancillary timbers. The hoarding has been supplied in a classic, neutral colour, but Premier Forest can also supply the boards in different colours, with customer branding or detailed graphics if required.

Premier ProSite is a medium density overlay (MDO) board with a low-emission, resin-impregnated exterior paper face, a smooth phenolic film reverse, and finished sealed edges. The boards are supplied factory painted and sealed so they are ready-to-fit and quick to install, eliminating the need for on-site painting, which saves both time and labour costs.

FSC® certified, it is made from robust Scots Pine or Birch, which have higher strength, stability, and a better-quality finish than many other plywoods.
