These values perfectly sum up every aspect of forward-thinking A&P Fencing, based in Lichfield.

Family run, this Staffordshire business was founded in 1989 and supplies a wide range of fencing products to both trade and domestic customers right across the UK.

In September 2015 the company moved to its current 3.5 acre site at Freeford Bridge in order to increase manufacturing capacity and enable the stocking of larger quantities of fencing and landscaping materials.

It also operates two further depots within the West Midlands at Sheldon, close to Birmingham International Airport, and Great Barr right next to the M6 and M5 motorways.

Director Andy Milner took up the story: “We use excellent, home-grown raw materials combined with traditional methods of preparation and utilise the latest technologies when it comes to our manufacturing methods.

“We offer a full range of KDM products and manufacture bespoke panels and gates tailored to our customers’ needs.

“We have built up a reputation as specialists in the production of high-quality fencing and concrete products. We like to help our customers to create carefully designed products for all their fencing requirements.

“Our stock is varied and there are solutions to suit all needs and budgets although our speciality is lap panels, featheredge panels and trellises. All these items are manufactured with great accuracy on our Panelmaster machines and then distributed nationwide using our own fleet of vehicles.

“We only use timber from well managed and sustainable resources and, where possible under the close scrutiny of certified forestry control. To reinforce our commitment, we hold FSC Chain of Custody accreditation. We all have to do our utmost to protect our natural environment.

“The products we manufacture involve close consultation with the customer and we honour our commitments, whether they be customers or suppliers, with a level of integrity that they have grown accustomed too.

“This results in a working partnership which builds up trust. Our team of knowledgeable friendly staff are a great asset to the company and a critical part of our on-going success.

“We take great pride in everything we do and that approach has served the company well over the decades,” added Andy, a regular competitor in the Fencing News Golf Day.

A&P has also recruited Richard Barr to the position of Operations Manager and he has overseen their growth in recent times.

Richard explained: “I pay special attention to compliance when it comes to working conditions and have ensured that health and safety plays a part in all of our operations.

“All of our fleet vehicles are fully tracked and we’ve recently incorporated new panel making machinery that requires careful oversight,” he added.

It’s clear that A&P Fencing is getting right across every aspect of the business. Quality and integrity indeed!
