SUMMIT TO SHOUT ABOUT WITH MUNRO SAWMILLS

“We are a family-run business with deep roots in the Highlands and take great pride in producing the finest timber fencing products. We have recently announced the expansion of our range into the supply of 4″ feather edge and straight edge boards to fencing suppliers, retailers, and panel producers across the UK.

“In the North of Scotland, trees grow slowly and straight, which means they have small knots and a close grain structure. Our boards are sawn from this slow-grown spruce and pine, all harvested within a 60-mile radius of our sawmill in Dingwall near Inverness.

“In addition, we only cut small logs, which again means small knots and high quality. This allows us to provide products with exceptional strength and durability, giving our customers the best quality and appearance on the market.

“Quality is at the heart of everything we do at Munro Sawmills. Unlike most mills, every board we produce is visually examined on the production line, and any defective material is consigned to the chipper. This ensures that our customers receive only the best value-for-money products with significantly reduced wastage.

“The response to our new boards has been incredible. Customers have praised the consistency and quality of our products, noting that wastage levels are much lower when compared with other suppliers. It’s clear that our focus on quality control is paying off, and we’re thrilled to provide such a high standard of material to the market.

“In addition to our 4” feather edge, square edge, single waney, and double waney slats, we also supply all the batten sizes required for waney and feather edge panel making. We produce battens for trellis manufacture and apply the same stringent quality control procedures during manufacture and stacking. This substantially reduces breakage and waste and speeds up production. We can thus offer mixed loads of products, tailored to meet the needs of our customers, large or small.

“We would love to hear from any interested fencing suppliers, retailers, and panel producers who use these sizes to get in touch with us. Because we have minimal overheads, we will always be competitively priced, making Munro Sawmills the best choice for fencing materials.

“With our commitment to quality, local sourcing, and customer service, we are confident that our boards will exceed your expectations,” added Chris.
