SUPER POST READY TO STAKE A CLAIM IN THE UK FENCING MARKET

Woodford Timber Products, based in Ireland, have a long history of supplying high-quality timber fencing and landscaping products. The Woodford product offering has evolved over the past 27 years, and to meet market demand for a creosote-alternative, the family-owned business has developed the Super Post fencing range.
Available as both square sawn and round agricultural, Super Posts are manufactured from carefully selected imported kiln-dried pine and treated with Tanasote® copper-oil wood preservative. To ensure consistent quality, Woodford Timber have significantly invested in their own Tanasote® treatment facility at their site in County Cavan, which was the first of its kind to open in Ireland.
Mark Richardson, Woodford’s Sales Director, believes the Super Post range is ideal for agricultural and equine projects across Europe.
*“The creosote ban on fencing came into force in Ireland in Spring 2023, and we wanted to be ready with an alternative for Irish projects. We already manufactured the Proper Post fencing range, treated with Tanalith® E wood preservative, but we understood the need for a modern like-for-like replacement for creosote-treated fencing.
With our Super Post range, the Tanasote® copper-oil allows the timber to self-heal when natural cracks appear in service, plus it provides great water-repellency. Because of the treatment properties of Tanasote® copper-oil, and our use of imported pine, we can provide a 25-year warranty on the Super Post range.
We’ve had great feedback from installers across Ireland about the low smell and ease of use of Super Posts, so we’re excited to be introducing the brand to the UK.”*
With the outcome of the HSE consultation on creosote due in early February, Woodford Timber are optimistic that the Super Post range will provide choice to fencing contractors across England, Wales, and Scotland.
