The ‘pandemic year’ saw specialist eco paint manufacturer Thorndown, continue to develop their business further, delivering to UK customers nationwide and to Europe.
As Brexit dawned Thorndown began exporting to Europe where their wood paint has been very well received. Navigating new and complex trading regulations and export paperwork, pallet loads of paint have been travelling over to Europe and onto the shelves and timber products of our European neighbours.
They also developed a new range of in-store POS painted display boards, showing Thorndown’s full colour range and available as counter-top or wall- mounted options. These quality display boards beautifully show off the wood paint and key USPs, helping stores uplift customer sales.
Continued exposure in the design world through the highly popular TV Carpenter podcast, in leading garden magazines and on TV shows such as ITV’s Love Your Weekend and Spring into Summer, further raised the profile of this multi award-winning brand.
Thorndown are also excited to announce the addition of 6 new colours to the Somerset Heritage Colour Collection. As with the original 18, the new hues are inspired by the Somerset countryside.
Caroline Thornborough, co- founder of Thorndown, said: “We launched the Somerset Heritage Colour Collection in celebration of the beautiful colourings of the
countryside that surrounds us here in Somerset.
“The colours of the countryside are wide and varied, so it felt natural to expand the collection in homage of our county and the six brand new colours are gorgeous additions to the range.”
Axe Blue, Tree Lichen, Whey White and Whortleberry are available to buy now. The official launch of all new colours will take place at The Garden Press Event in London in March 2022 where Field Green and Hartlake Blue will be revealed.
Thorndown Wood Paint is a leading eco water-based paint made with VOC free architectural exterior-grade colour pigments that stay truly stunning for years. Engineered to be an outstanding exterior Wood Paint it also works brilliantly within the home.
