 TORNADO WIRE BAGS LAMMA SILVER

Tornado Wire has secured the prestigious silver award in the Livestock Innovation of the Year category at LAMMA 2025.

The accolade recognises the revolutionary Pro-Strain™ System, which has been praised for transforming the way livestock farmers manage and maintain their fencing infrastructure.

Tornado’s innovative Pro-Strain is a fence straining system offering key benefits over alternative systems. Pro-Strain was created following extensive feedback from some of the UK’s top agricultural fencing contractors, looking for steel systems with better performance. Pro-Strain’s registered designs can replace traditional wooden strainers, which often suffer from a short lifespan or contain harmful chemical treatments.

It offers a number of benefits, including robustness and ease of installation, as well as a lighter weight composition than timber, making it ideal for poorly accessed installations. It is also hot dip galvanised, offering longevity.

Tornado Wire CEO Rebecca Galley commented:

“Effective fencing is crucial for livestock management, ensuring animals remain safe and secure while minimising the risk of escapes and predator incursions. Our Pro-Strain System addresses common pain points such as time-intensive tension adjustments and the frequent need for repairs due to wear and tear. By streamlining these processes, the system allows farmers and land managers to focus more on their livestock and less on maintenance.

“Installers who have already adopted the Pro-Strain System report significant time savings and increased confidence in their fencing’s reliability. This innovation is especially impactful for large-scale operations where efficiency is key.

“The LAMMA Awards celebrate groundbreaking innovations that enhance agricultural efficiency and sustainability.

“Winning this silver award is a testament to our commitment to providing solutions that make a real difference. The Pro-Strain System embodies our dedication to innovation and quality, and we’re thrilled to see it making such a positive impact.”
