Silver Medal Winner in the Future Innovations category at LAMMA 19, the UK’s leading agricultural event.

Versalok® is A NEW and truly versatile, patented intermediate metal post and clip system manufactured by Hampton Steel at their Wellingborough premises.

The culmination of many months of design, testing and trialing, Versalok® is a 100% recyclable and incredibly durable alternative to timber posts. Produced from high yield steel with a zinc, aluminium and magnesium coating, Versalok® is guaranteed for 30 years. Quick and simple to erect, the Versalok® post, combined with Hampton’s steel Box and Angle Strainer Systems, provides a completely integrated metalfence post system, the first of its kind manufactured in the UK. It also provides the ideal companion for Hampton’s extensive range of fencing products. Customers can see for themselves the ease with which the strainer systems and Versalok® are to erect with Hampton’s new short installation videos on the Hampton Facebook and You Tube pages.

Versalok® posts are produced in 1.5mm and 2.5mm thickness, standard post heights of approximately 1.8, 2.2 and 2.9 metres are available from stock; other post heights can be made to order.

‘Winning in the Future Innovations category at LAMMA is fantastic recognition of the planning and research we have invested in developing Versalok®. We set out to provide our customers with a truly versatile and cost effective  intermediate metal post system, investing more than £1million in new machinery to fulfil this goal. Versalok® is compatible with all woven wire fence patterns making it a better alternative to other metal intermediate posts on the market and its increased durability allows us to guarantee it for 30 years. In such uncertain times we have to look forward, developing our products as future proof as possible. I am pleased to say Hampton’s future is bright.’ said Mark Johnson, Managing Director of Hampton Steel Ltd.

More and more fencers are opting for metal posts over wood, ‘The Versalok® posts are the best posts I’ve ever used; I’ve used wooden ones for years. I’ll certainly not be using wooden ones again!’ said Shamus McAlees of Rosepark Farm, Ballymoney www.

Lamma was a huge success featuring over 700 exhibitors. The 40,000 visitors were introduced to many ground-breaking innovations in agricultural machinery, equipment and services. The LAMMA judges commented that ‘This year featured some of the strongest entries in the history of the competition’. Just seventeen companies were recognised for awards across six categories.
