WALFORD TIMBER CELEBRATES 80 YEARS WITH REBRAND

Walford Timber is celebrating 80 years in business this year and has rebranded its branches to reinforce its heritage and identity across the company.

Established in 1945 near Ross-on-Wye in the heart of the Wye Valley, Walford Timber also operates two additional sales branches: Cheltenham Fencing in Gloucestershire and G & M.B. Manning in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. These branches will now trade as the Cheltenham and Chesham branches of Walford Timber Ltd, respectively.

Walford Timber manufactures and supplies premium fencing and outdoor timber products. Its customers include stockists, installers, property owners and managers, developers, and the general public.

The Cheltenham branch was opened by Walford Timber in 2004 to expand the company’s reach into Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, and the Severn Vale regions. In 2017, the company acquired G & M.B. Manning, providing access to consumer and installer markets in the Chilterns and the three counties of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.

With greater crossover of resources and materials between branches, the decision was made to unify the trading names under the single Walford Timber brand, to coincide with the company’s 80th anniversary.

In addition to plans to enhance the company’s digital presence, the physical branches will also undergo a new look, featuring updated branding, including signage, vehicle liveries, and staff uniforms.

With a busy year ahead, the company has further plans to celebrate this milestone later in the year.
