The steep and rugged terrain along the Devon Cornwall border is proving to be the perfect testing ground for Wayne Bartlett’s WRAGTRACK TOW-IT.

Wayne decided to start his fencing and ground maintenance business at the beginning of lockdown after his previous employer dramatically reduced his hours. He’s not looked back since with WRAG playing a key role in his success.

Wayne explained: “It was a case of ‘if I don’t do it now I’ll never do it’ and seized the bull by the horns. I love working outdoors and fencing but taking control of my own destiny has made me love it even more.

“I required a reliable and effective track mounted post knocker that could get to the most difficult and challenging of places and that’s exactly what I’ve got with my WRAGTRACK. I can’t believe where it will go. It really does transform the nature of my workload.

“I looked online at what postknockers were available and WRAG popped up as an option. I’d not heard of them before but had used competitor models over the eight years I’ve been fencing. After speaking with Tim I decided to go for it.

“It’s a big cost consideration for a new business and, at the very start, I was a bit nervous but it’s more than paying for itself and giving me and my growing list of customers peace of mind on every job I carry out,” added Wayne who already employs one contractor with another due to start soon.

Wayne’s machine has a 200deg slew and comes with a wide range of additional options including remote control, rockspike, winch and net unroller. It also falls under the legal towing weight behind his four wheel drive truck.

“That’s a big bonus as it means I can travel around far more easily and get the machine to where it needs to be,” enthused Wayne who has already built up a substantial pipeline of new business across Devon and Cornwall, carrying out agricultural and stock fencing as well as ground maintenance and a few domestic contracts.

The WRAGTRACK TOW-IT weighs in at 2450kg (without attachments) and is powered by a Yanmar 36hp, tier 5 engine and boasts a 1.65m track base width constructed on a purpose-built, strong chassis that reduces twisting and bending. It boasts a two speed operation with automatic hydraulic brake, a central post carrier and a 200 degree swing. The front bumper is designed specifically for protection and winch attachment.

“There’s a host of features that make this a special machine and really up to the task of working around here. The WRAG team have been brilliant with their post sales service as well, quickly clearing up any issues that have arisen.

“It’s a fantastic machine that I’m only too happy to recommend 120%!” he concluded.

WRAG is clearly operating on solid ground with Wayne and his fast-growing fencing business!
