A completely new version of the Wood Protection Association (WPA) Code of Practice for Timber Treatment Installations – Design & Operation is now available.
This 6th edition reflects changing technology and legislation and provides up-to-date practical guidance on environmental, safety and health issues relevant to all companies engaged in the activity of industrial timber treatment. It includes extensive guidance on process permitting under the IED regime, environmental management systems and compliance criteria under the UK interpretational guidance to the EU BREF ‘Best Available Techniques’ note for the UK treated wood sector.
This Code provides anyone with an interest in the safe design, installation and operation of timber treatment plants bang up to date guidance says WPA Chief Executive, Gordon Ewbank: ‘Our regulatory affairs team has created a publication that provides wood treaters with highly relevant and current information that complements and expands on WPA Guidance Note TW 12: Best Available Techniques (BAT) Conclusions for Timber Treatment Operations – UK Interpretational Guidance.’
