WRAG EMBARKS ON NEW CHAPTER

WRAG postknockers have started a new chapter as part of Wiltshire-based Kidd Farm Machinery.
A statement from KFM read “Kidd Farm Machinery is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of WRAG’s brand and intellectual property, marking an exciting new chapter for both companies.
“WRAG has earned a reputation as a trusted, family-run business based in Derbyshire, renowned for its market-leading post drivers and commitment to innovation. This acquisition ensures the continued availability and development of WRAG’s high-quality products, strengthening Kidd Farm Machinery’s offering in the agricultural and fencing sectors.
“As part of the transition, key WRAG team members will remain actively involved. Josh will continue leading sales, ensuring a seamless experience for WRAG’s customers, while Tim will consult on design, helping to maintain and develop WRAG’s renowned product range.
“Their expertise and involvement will ensure a smooth integration and ongoing support for WRAG’s valued customers and partners.”
John Harvey, Managing Director of Kidd Farm Machinery, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition: “I have always highly rated the WRAG post drivers. They make a superb range with many more offerings than KFM, including tracked machines.”
“The plan is to continue to produce and support KFM machines while also maintaining the WRAG range exactly as it is. We are very much looking forward to working with Tim and Josh to develop new machines that incorporate some principles of our IUK autonomous project—helping to improve efficiency while reducing time and costs.”
“Kidd Farm Machinery has a long-standing reputation for innovation in the agricultural machinery sector and this acquisition aligns with its commitment to delivering robust, reliable solutions to farmers and contractors.”
“WRAG customers can expect continued support, uninterrupted access to products, and further innovation in the years to come,” added John.
Phil Stamper, a west Cumbria-based fencing contractor, is a strong advocate of the WRAG brand which was founded by Tim and Carolyn Wright back in 1992.
Phil commented “I’ve been working with WRAG postknockers for almost two decades and their machinery has played a major role in the development of my own business since I started it in 2016.”
“Prior to that I worked with their postknockers whilst employed with fencing contractors up here in the hills around Cumbria.”
“Tim, Carolyn and son Josh have been really good to deal with over the years and it’s great to hear that Tim and Josh will still be involved in the new venture with KFM.”
“My first WRAG was second hand with just 350 hours of service on the clock and it’s still going strong. I purchased a second fully bespoke model recently.”
“They manufacture a great product that substantially increased my daily meterage and I can recall how the phone didn’t stop ringing once folks up here found out that I had a WRAG,” added Phil who runs a team of three as well as using additional groundworks contractors throughout the year. “I have a full order book for 2025 and beyond and much of my success has been down to WRAG,” concluded Phil.
