AFI & AFA Return to the North East with Autumn Best Practice Day

The Association of Fencing Industries (AFI), in partnership with the Agricultural Fencing Association (AFA), has announced that its next Best Practice Day will take place on 15th October 2026 at Northumberland College – Kirkley Hall Campus.

The one-day event has become an important fixture in the agricultural fencing calendar, bringing together contractors, suppliers and industry professionals to promote high standards, practical skills and knowledge sharing across the sector.

Designed specifically for those working in agricultural fencing, the Best Practice Day combines live demonstrations with practical workshops and technical guidance, providing attendees with techniques and ideas that can be applied directly on site.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet leading manufacturers and suppliers, explore the latest products and technologies, and discuss current industry challenges with fellow professionals.

Pete Clark, Chief Executive of the Association of Fencing Industries, said:

“Best Practice Days are all about supporting the industry through practical learning and collaboration. They provide contractors with an opportunity to see different techniques, ask questions, share experiences and learn from one another. We’re looking forward to welcoming contractors from across the North East to Kirkley Hall this October for what promises to be another valuable day.”

Tickets are priced at £15, with breakfast, refreshments and lunch included.

The AFI and AFA encourage contractors, employers, apprentices and anyone involved in agricultural fencing to attend and take advantage of a day dedicated to improving skills and promoting best practice across the industry.
